Breif Profile
  • Professor Sardar Singh, before joining as Principal, served University of Rajasthan (UOR), Jaipur, for 25 years in various capacities and has been Professor of Physics since 2001. He also served for 11 years in various Government Colleges, under Directorate of College Education, Rajasthan.

  • He obtained his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees from the UOR, Jaipur. His area of research is Theoretical High Energy Physics. Ha has published a number of research papers on Neutrino-Mixings and Higgs-boson Physics in the Physical Review D, a well-known journal of International repute published from US.

  • Prof. Singh has been associated with the Centre for Development of Physics Education (CDPE), UOR, Jaipur since 1983. This centre has developed a number of innovative tools for imparting effective Physics education. Prof. Singh has published a number of pedagogic papers on Physics education in the American Journal of Physics, a journal having International recognition in the field of Physics Education and published from US. He has written also physics books for Hindi medium as well as English medium students.

  • Prof. Singh has been a member of University Syndicate, Convener Board of Studies in Physics and many academic bodies in UOR, Jaipur. He was also a member of BOM, RTU, Kota. He served as Head, Department of Physics and Director, CDPE, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Currently, he is a member Board of Studies in Physics in University of Rajasthan as well as in The IIS University, Jaipur. He is also a member of Academic Council, The IIS University, Jaipur. He envisages utilizing his experience in raising standards, enhancing quality and promoting excellence in technical education.
