Overview
The Computer Science Engineering being the latest and fastest growing branch of engineering, has a vast potential of job opportunities within and outside the country. The department is therefor equipped with the state-of-the art PCs and licensed software tools to develop the technical and programming skills of students .Students study both insoftware and hardware aspects of the computer. The department has a 6XEON based IBM server that adequately supports a number of clients on Campus Wide Network. Server room is equipped with CISCO layer2 switches and IBM server. The hardware configuration is professionally selected and supported by suitable application software.

Welcome to the B. Tech Computer Science program of IIMET. Computer Science and Engineering is an essence of today’s world. The department is in the process of tuning the young minds to make them globally competitive. We are committed to provide not only the technical education to our students but also the leadership qualities through which they can create employment to others.
Computer Science & Engineering Department strives hard to develop disciplined, responsible, sincere and dedicated professionals with necessary skills to match academic and market needs. Department of Computer Science & Engineering empowered with well qualified faculty, and state-of-the-art facilities provides the students with quality education that match global standards, truly an academic ambience of excellence. Apart from teaching and research, faculty is involved in counseling and career guidance. The college can legitimately claim excellence in various quality parameters defining an institution and obviously it has become the first choice of many a discerning parent and their ward.

The class room training is enriched through hands-on experience on equipments such as networking accessories and Microprocessor kits.The department has different lab like :

- Operating Systems Lab.
- Java Lab.
Each lab is equipped to accommodate ninety students. Various servers such as Squid server, Database server, Mail server, File server and Net server are available to facilitate student learning.The Institute has around 450 Computer Systems with latest hardware and soft wares. The institute has placed servers of WIPRO i.e. Net Manager Xeon Processor EM64T 3 GHZ dual processor- 1 and Net Manager Xeon Processor EM64T 3GHZ - 5 and IBM servers - 2. Clients are Windows 2000 Professional, win 98 and XP and linux based which gets authenticated and uses resources of the networked servers.
