The Objective
The newly setup Student Development Cell (SDC) at IIMET strives to develop high quality professionals with sound footing of basic engineering principles, technical skills and exemplary professional conduct. The SDC, in coordination’s with the various department of IIMET, ensure that the budding engineers get the best of technical skills valued by industry along with training in soft skills, reasoning and math’s for their all round development and enhancing their employability.
Overall Growth of Student
The SDC will urge the faculty to work for unleashing the potential of students using their deep insights, personal experience, knowledge and other perspectives. Besides teaching and industrial training, the holistic development program will include conversational and discussions, techno-cultural activities, exercises, games, writing assignment, mock interviews, guest lectures by subject specialist and motivational speakers to enhance a students growth and success.
Appreciation and Awards
Motivation and appreciation goes long way in boosting a student’s energy and committment.SDC will take upon itself to recognize and award the all-rounder and meritorious achievers in academic and other activities at special events organized for the purpose where in the parents of the student will also be invited so that they can feel proud of the achievements of their works.
Interaction with Parents
The cell will also organize periodic interaction between parents and teachers to keep the parents informed about the strength of the students as well the areas where they need improvement. Inputs will also be invited from parents for the betterment of the career prospects of the students.
Attendance and Discipline
SDC will keep a record and watch on the overall growth of the students, their attendance and discipline in the college.
