The students at IIMET in a conductive teaching-learning environment develop themselves into quality engineers for being employable. The Training & Placement Cell of any institute plays a vital role in enhancing the employability skills of the students and getting them placed. So does the training and placement cell of IIMET and is fully committed to provide the students with all necessary requisites. The T&P cell ensures proper liaison with the industries and corporate houses in order to provide better opportunities to the students for summer training, projects and final placement.
T&P cell organizes Soft Skill Development Programme and sessions on spoken English and personality development on regular basis. It has also devised and developed a soft skills training module for the students. The module is beyond the curriculum and has been incorporated in the regular time table. The students find this program beneficial in bridging the gap between what they are and what they need to be. The T&P cell also proposes to organize CRT Programme in the forthcoming session.
Purpose
The purpose of the placement policy is to define the overall structure & processes of the placement cell, and to structure the roles & responsibilities of the teams working on this process of placement cell. The policy will ensure that-
- Maximum number of students get on-campus placement
- Deserving candidates can have the opportunity to start their career with their preferred company
- To maintain the quality standards of the jobs offered
- To ensure that the whole team work according to the defined processes to achieve the common objective
Scope

Placement Committee
- The Placement Committee of IIMET is a centralized body, headed by a full-time Placement Officer with more than 5 years’ experience.
- To facilitate the placement process, our knowledgeable placement specialist, works in coordination with senior faculty coordinators from within the college and from each domain of Engineering.
